December 17, 2024, Dubai – Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has announced the launch of the “Al Habtoor Award for Preserving the Arabic Language”. The award is part of the efforts of the Al Habtoor Research Centre, established in September 2023 as a platform for research that offers practical solutions to challenges facing the Arab world. Amr Moussa, former Secretary-General of the Arab League; Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, former Egyptian Foreign Minister; and Dr. Mostafa El Feki, a prominent political thinker.

In his remarks at the award’s launch, Khalaf Al Habtoor emphasized the importance of preserving the Arabic language as a cornerstone of cultural identity, stating:

“The Arabic language is not just a means of communication; it is the essence of our identity, culture, and history. Protecting it is a duty and a necessity to ensure the stability and prosperity of our societies. Through this award, we aim to honour creative minds contributing to safeguarding our language and promoting its use, believing that the future of the nation begins with protecting its language.”
